We start this route at the Little Pan Staging Area of the Table Mesa OHV Area. Trail follows Moore Gulch, then climbs along a high scenic ridge to a remote overlook. Narrow, winding, undulating trail is great fun. To add variety on return trip, turn west at Wpt. 04 and follow map back to start. Many side roads to explore. Carry a State Trust Land permit.

In November this is a popular area for Deer hunting and you will see many Camps. There are three spots along the long hill climb shortly after passing the Cow Corral about 3/4 of the way to the lookout that is harder than anything I encountered on Diamondback near Sedona. For these 3 obstacles, this trail should possibly be rated as difficult for the last quarter to the lookout.
I was in a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 32 in AT tire and I was able to clear them with proper path placement and low gear. I was with a friend in a two-door Wrangler on 32 in Mud Terran tires and he had issues clearing 2 of the obstacles. He also damaged a transmission cooling line and shredded a tire.
