Overview

How many arches can you find?

This trail features four unique arches, two each on opposite sides of the canyon. The arches are easier to spot in morning and evening when the sun casts longer shadows. You can continue to drive past the arches another mile, where the trail becomes moderate, then difficult. We stopped at Wpt. 05 and hiked farther into the canyon, where power lines climbed steeply up the canyon walls. This road is a popular hiking trail; slow down and be courteous to hikers. Explore other scenic and challenging canyons by turning right at Wpt. 02 on your way out.

Trail Ratings Defined

Easy to the arches, then trail becomes moderate to Wpt. 05. The easy portion follows a narrow canyon wash bottom, which may become more difficult after heavy rains. Flash floods are always possible. Route finding is easy; just follow power lines.
