Overview

Narrow trail along river’s edge ends at equipment-strewn mine site.

The attraction here is a collection of old mining artifacts scattered around the Hey Joe Mine site. The river scenery is great, too, but you may be too busy fighting the elements to notice. Great for ATVs and SxSs. Help keep this trail open by minimizing noise.

In several places this trail is literally falling into the Green River. Rocks frequently fall across the trail, increasing the difficulty. In addition, aggressive, thick tamarisk will scratch vehicles. Fortunately, locals work hard to make repairs and cut back the tamarisk. We took our RZR on this trail after the Easter Jeep Safari and noted the tamarisk was trimmed back; however, we met some Jeepers who still found the tamarisk intolerable.

Priscilla and I rode this trail three years ago and have dreamed of running it again ever since...We will finally be returning in the beginning of this August, This time with *FunTreks* map book and chip installed in our Garmin Zumo XT...This is one of the most glandulous Trails there are, and the river is unbelievably wide and swift...Phenomenal...
