Overview

A new added section to Chivo Falls with scenic views and challenging terrain.

We’ve added a new section to Chivo Falls that makes for a fun, extended adventure. “Lower Loop,” as the local 4×4 clubs call it, has scenic views and challenging terrain. This trail can take awhile, so plan accordingly. We encountered deep water crossings in the spring. Trail has several manageable obstacles, including “Three Feathers.” The area is often busy on weekends with every type of off-road vehicle. Pull over to let someone pass if they are moving faster than you.

Trail Ratings Defined

Choose from several different lines at “Three Feathers.” All lines are harder going up than down. Deep water crossings are possible with quicksand-like conditions. The “Rock Garden” has bowling-ball-size rocks in a creek. Several steep, rocky hill climbs. Thick brush may scratch paint. Take your time to enjoy this trail.
