Overview

Remote, bumpy ride with great camping around high-mountain lakes.

Remote area and a great place to spend a few days camping around high altitude lakes. The trail is a long and challenging bumpy ride but worth it for the views as you climb. We did it in a UTV but saw many licensed vehicles making the trip. A popular area on weekends with RV and large camper spots near the start of the trail. Big Springs Road dead-ends with some mediocre camping. Open 5/15 to  11/22.
